Choir
The New Armuchee Sanctuary Choir provides music for Sunday morning worship services as well as season presentations at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room behind the sanctuary. The choir performs a variety of musical styles from gospel to traditional anthems. The choir is directed by Stan Pethel. Jo Ann Pethel is the accompanist. Enrollment is open with no audition!
O’ Yes Choir
The O’ Yes choir is comprised of senior adults who “just like to get together once a week and sing!” Anyone is invited to participate. People from other churches are usually involved. They meet in the choir room every Wednesday morning at 10:30 and they sing until 11:30, with a short break in the middle. The music is usually older music, such as hymns or gospel choruses led by Mac Eubanks. They will sing at special events 4-5 times per year, including a Christmas performance at Berry College in December. All events are usually from 10:30-11:30 so that participants don’t have to change their schedules. The O’ Yes Choir is always open to new members. Bring a friend!
Hand Bells
The Hand Bell Choir practices on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 to learn and prepare music to ring in our church worship services and for special events in our community. This group is open to any adults and students, 16 years of age and older, who have a desire to praise God through music. No prior experience or knowledge of hand bells is required.
Missions & Outreach
GROW
GROW is an outreach ministry that began in the Spring of 2009. It stands for God Rewards Our Work. GROW meets every Sunday from 4:30-5:30 (unless there is another special event). GROW consists of four outreach teams: the G team, the R team, the O team, and W team. The G team meets on the first Sunday of the month, the R team meets on the second Sunday, etc. Each team ministers to people who visit New Armuchee Baptist Church in four ways: Home visitation, writing cards, making phone calls, and praying. Anyone who is a member of New Armuchee can join the GROW Outreach ministry!
